Current world champion Marc Marquez has had successful shoulder surgery, after a crash at last week’s testing at Jerez.
Repsol Honda have confirmed that the surgery was successful today and that the 8 time world champion will be discharged “within the next 48 hours.”
Marquez had surgery on his right shoulder last year but Respol Honda have said that it is “less aggressive in nature.”
Post 2019 testing has not been successful for both the Marquez brothers and Honda with crashes for both of them. The most notable crash was Marc Marquez crashing a prototype Honda at Valencia into turn 13. Marquez had to pick the new 2020 pieces up with his hands and take it back to the Honda garage.
