Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has made some controversial comments about Ferrari and the legality of their engine, after a disastrous race for the Scuderia in the US!
The Dutchman when questioned about Ferrari’s lack of pace at the US Grand Prix said “well that’s what happens when you stop cheating”.
This comes after Red Bull doubted the legality of Ferrari’s dominating power unit before the US Grand Prix.
Charles Leclerc could only manage a lonely 4th place, 52 seconds behind race winner Valtteri Bottas with Sebastian Vettel retiring from the race early on with suspension damage. Before his damage though, the German was sitting in 7th place behind the McLaren of Lando Norris and the Renault of Daniel Ricciardo, despite qualifying on the front row and missing out on pole position by twelve thousandths of a second.
Ferrari team principle Mattia Binotto came out to show their displeasure at Verstappen’s comments.
“I read and I heard a lot of comments this weekend about a technical directive and an impact on our cars”.
