Ferrari Announce Huge Updates Ahead of the Formula 1 in Barcelona

Ferrari have announced major updates to their Power Unit ‘ahead of schedule‘ for the approaching fifth round taking place at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya this weekend.

After the recent race in Baku, Ferrari have been left adrift from rival team Mercedes after the Brackley based team achieved four 1-2 finishes out of four at the opening of this season. In retaliation to this form, Scuderia announced they are bringing updates to their Power Unit before the expected deadline of the Canadian Grand Prix. This Power Unit upgrade comes in the form of a new fuel upgrade which the Italian team says will produce ‘increased performance’. Along with this, the team have brought chassis upgrades to push for even better aerodynamic upgrades than the ones released in Baku.

Renault have also pushed for improvements in their car after their less than successful performance at the start of the season. The team are claiming to have a few upgrades that are positive, such upgrades are to the front wing, some minor changes to the rear and mechanical improvements to aid the drivers.

The changes Renault have brought forward might help them to get out of their slump as each of their drivers have only had one points scoring finishes.

Other teams such as Haas bring upgrades into Spain with changes to the bodywork for aerodynamic improvements and Williams, who are hoping that the upgrades they bring that they say are important for gaining an advantage round the Spanish circuit.

As the weekend approaches, maybe it will be the time for Ferrari to pounce back at the Silver Arrows and stop their domination, or perhaps another team will prove their worth.
