Edoardo Mortara help his position in the Saturday race as Audi continue to struggle.
After a tight qualifying with Mortara taking pole by just 0.001s from Eng, he led off the line.
Eng pitted at the end of lap one and left fellow BMW driver Wittmann in second, being the only non Mercedes car in the top five.
Mortara waitied for Wittmann to blink and pit, dived in a lap later and retained his lead, the gap remained up until 20 minutes from the end where Paffett stole second position into turn one.
Apart from getting side by side with Mortara once, he could not make the move stick and ended up second with Wittmann keeping third.
Di Resta stole fourth ahead of Eng, Spengler and Auer, Juncadella took eighth, followed by Eriksson and Glock rounding out the top ten.
This makes it the second time Audi have failed to score points, with their best effort in Jamie green, 11th.
