5 time MotoGP world champion, Jorge Lorenzo is set to partner Marq Marquez at Repsol Honda while Danilo Petrucci is set to replace Lorenzo at Ducati!
It was announced earlier today that Dani Pedrosa was going to leave Repsol Honda which left massive questions over who was going to replace the Spaniard. Hours later, it seems that Lorenzo has landed his seat for next year (and not a bad one!)
Despite Lorenzo winning last time out in Mugello, his teammate, Andrea Dovizioso has been much more competitive and came so close to winning the 2017 world championship. Lorenzo was paid the big money to win races and it has taken a season and a half to win on a track which heavily favours the Ducati.
All of this meant Lorenzo was almost certain to leave Ducati which has also left an empty seat. However, it seems that Ducati have already made their move and it will be Pramac’s Danilo Petrucci to partner Dovizioso. It was almost certain that it would be one of the 2 Pramac riders but this will surely mean that Jack Miller will not be on old machinery like he has this year.
Moto2 championship leader Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia was already confirmed at Pramac before the season started so it will seem that Bagnaia will be alongside Jack Miller at Pramac.
